Partnership Architecture
Government leads. UNICEF anchors. SMSP delivers.
Nepal Reads is an institutional collaboration between the Government of Nepal, UNICEF Nepal and SMSP. The Ministry of Education and Sports leads government and community systems. UNICEF Nepal anchors strategy and global funding. SMSP drives programme management and brings in private sector, civil society and technology partners. Maya Shrestha leads Nepal Reads as founder and Project Lead, guided by an Advisory Committee including Dr Bindu Lohani, Chancellor of the University of Nepal and former Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank, and Dr Uma Pradhan of University College London.
